Wadi Khaled Primary Healthcare Center was established in Akkar in September 2003 following a contract of cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health to provide primary healthcare, maternal and child care services, especially in terms of reducing childbirth complications and maternal mortality.
The center provides primary healthcare services on weekdays from 07:30 am to 6pm and receives delivery cases 24/7. It caters to all patients and families regardless of their nationalities, while abiding by the highest standards in treatment, medical care and nursing. It focuses on raising awareness about healthy behaviors for the general public.

Services include

  • Various medical consultations (General medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, endocrinology, cardiology, nephrology, urology, neurology, pediatrics and vaccination, orthopedics, nutrition);
  • Oral and dental health;
  • Provision of medications in collaboration with MoPH and YMCA;
  • Diagnostic services including X-rays and laboratory;
  • Preventive services: Non communicable disease (NCD) program, malnutrition program, Universal Health coverage program, vaccination
  • Social services including educational sessions and awareness campaigns
  • Emergency medical services
  • School health services
  • Provision of healthcare services through a medical mobile unit.
  • Maternal and child care services including delivery and vaccinations:
  • The Mother and Child initiative to reduce childbirth complications and maternal mortality.
